IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) – A therapy which allows you to combat chronic muscle scar tissue buildup, nerve entrapment and soft tissue dysfunction.

Injuries to the soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments can cause scar tissue formation or adhesions. Sometimes, specific stretching and exercising is enough to overcome this, but often times we have to assist patients in breaking up their scar tissue. We do this by utilizing small handheld instruments that are designed to break apart scar tissue rapidly and effectively to free the joints and soft tissue from what is inhibiting them to move properly.

•         Instrument Vibration Massage – state-of-the-art vibration massage device that helps relax sore and stiff muscles to improve mobility.

During each treatment, Dr. Planck will evaluate the spine and extremities for trigger points/spasms that could be causing discomfort or even leading to spinal misalignments. For this, we apply short bursts of concentrated Instrument vibration massage to the affected areas. Think of this as a massage, only more focused.
